“ONE DAY, THROUGH THE ROSARY AND THE SCAPULAR, SHE WILL SAVE THE WORLD."
– St. Dominic’s Prophecy of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Rosary and the Scapular, AD 1208.
Brown Scapular Prophecy:
1) St. Dominic’s Prophecy, AD 1208
2) The Brown Scapular and St. Simon Stock, AD 1251
3) The Brown Scapular and Fatima, AD 1917
4) The Brown Scapular and The Immaculate Heart of Mary
5) Popes, The Brown Scapular and Fatima
1) St. Dominic’s Prophecy, AD 1208
In the pages of an ancient history of the Carmelite Order (written in mediaeval Latin by a
priest named Fr. Marianus Ventimiglia), published in 1773 in Naples, we find this historical
account:
Three famous men of God met on a street corner in Rome. They were Friar Dominic, busy
gathering recruits to a new Religious Order of Preachers; Brother Francis, the friend of birds
and beasts and especially dear to the poor; and Angelus, who had been invited to Rome
from Mount Carmel, in Palestine, because of his fame as a preacher. At their chance
meeting, by the light of the Holy Spirit each of the three men recognized each other and, in the
course of their conversation (as recorded by various followers who were present), they made
prophecies to each other. Saint Angelus foretold the stigmata of Saint Francis, and Saint
Dominic said:
"One day, Brother Angelus, to your Order of Carmel
the Most Blessed Virgin Mary will give a devotion to
be known as the Brown Scapular, and to my Order of
Preachers she will give a devotion to be known as
the Rosary. ONE DAY, THROUGH THE ROSARY AND
THE SCAPULAR, SHE WILL SAVE THE WORLD."
Today, a chapel on that very street corner in Rome,
commemorates the meeting of St. Dominic, St.
Francis of Assisi, and St. Angelus.
The Blessed Virgin Mary later did appear to St.
Dominic and gave to him the Rosary for the
conversion of the Albigensians and other sinners, in
the year 1214 in the church of Prouille. This Marian
apparition received the title of Our Lady of the
Rosary. The Rosary devotion proved to be a powerful
weapon from heaven against the heresies of the
Albigensians, and in time they were all converted to
the faith. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, instructed by the
Blessed Virgin as well as his own experience, St.
Dominic preached the Rosary for the rest of his life.

2) The Brown Scapular and St. Simon Stock, AD 1251
Then the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Simon Stock, Superior General of the Carmelite
Order, on July 16, 1251, and in her hand She held the brown scapular and gave this promise:
"TAKE THIS SCAPULAR, IT SHALL BE A SIGN OF SALVATION, A PROTECTION IN DANGER
AND A PLEDGE OF PEACE. WHOSOEVER DIES WEARING THIS SCAPULAR SHALL NOT
SUFFER ETERNAL FIRE.”
The fulfillment of the Brown Scapular Prophecy of St. Dominic thus began in AD 1251 with St.
Simon Stock and the promise of Salvation to all who would wear Her Brown Scapular.

3) The Brown Scapular and Fatima, AD 1917
On Friday, October 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared to three shepherd children at Fatima in
Portugal. The three children were Lúcia dos Santos and her cousins, siblings Jacinta and
Francisco Marto. Our Lady performed the Great Miracle of the Sun. 70,000 people witnessed
this Great Miracle… The Fatima message of Our Lady had an Apocalyptic Warning of War;
mankind’s self-destruction and the threat of Judgment to befall the world. But She also gave
a message of Hope and Peace...
Video Clip: "The 13th Day", Fatima Message and the "Great Miracle of the Sun".
PLEASE READ PRAYERFULLY... Part of the July 13, 1917 message of Our Lady was not
made public at the time and was called “The Third Secret of Fatima.” On May 13, 2000, Pope
John Paul II announced that he had given orders for the secret to be revealed with a
commentary. It was made public on June 26, 2000. It consists of two prophetic visions.
THE FIRST VISION: Lucia writes, “At the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel
with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they
would set the world on fire. But, they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady
radiated towards him from Her right hand. Pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel
cried out in a loud voice: “Penance, Penance, Penance!”
THE SECOND VISION: “We saw, in an immense light that is God (something similar to how
people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it), a Bishop dressed in white (we had
the impression it was the Holy Father). Other bishops, priests, men and women religious,
going up a steep mountain, at the top which was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a
cork tree with bark. Before reaching there, the Holy Father passed through a big city half in
ruins. And half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the
souls of the corpses he met on his way. Having reached the top of the mountain, on his
knees at the foot of the big Cross, he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and
arrows at him. And in the same way, there died, one after another, the other bishops, priests,
men and women religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath
the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels, each with a crystal aspersorium in his
hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that
were making their way to God.”
Video Clip: "The 13th Day", The Second Vision Prophecy.
AFTER THESE TWO VISIONS, and while 70,000 people were witnessing the great miracle of
the sun, the three children saw Our Lady with the Rosary; Our Lord; St. Joseph with Child
Jesus; Our Lady in blue; and finally, Our Lady of Mount Carmel holding the Brown Scapular.
Before releasing this last secret of Fatima, Pope John Paul II asked Sister Lucia (who
received this secret from Our Lady of Fatima in 1917) for her interpretation. She replied that
the visions (of the Angel of Justice, the mountain of corpses, the ruined city, etc.) referred to
the part of Our Lady’s message, which ended with the words: “SEVERAL NATIONS WILL BE
ANNIHILATED.”
She added: “If we have not yet seen the complete fulfillment of the final part of this prophecy,
we are going towards it little by little with great strides.”
She seemed to indicate that the world is almost inexorably proceeding to self-destruction.
The Pope seemed to share this view in his Fatima letter of October 13, 1977, in which His
Holiness said, the greatness of Fatima is that it gives the specific formula “to save mankind
from self-destruction.”
The urgency of our response becomes evident in the fact that the Holy Father decided to
make the secret known in June 2000, and in his words: “AS WE APPROACH THE NEW
MILLENNIUM IT SEEMS THAT THE WORDS OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA ARE NEARING THEIR
FULFILLMENT.”
+++ The Vatican document explaining the Third Secret of Fatima makes it very clear: “The
Angel with the flaming sword” recalls similar images in the Book of Revelation. This
represents the threat of Judgment over the world. Today the prospect that the world might be
reduced to ashes by a sea of fire is no longer pure fantasy. Man, himself, with his inventions,
has forged the flaming sword.
At Fatima, Our Lady had confirmed St. Dominic’s
Prophecy as recorded by Fr. Marianus Ventimiglia.
Holding the Rosary and the Scapular, She had
come to say: "ONLY THE BLESSED VIRGIN CAN
SAVE YOU." And She promised the conversion of
Russia and world peace if Her requests would be
heard.
Our Lady’s Requests: God's Mother appealed to all
men to consecrate themselves to Her Immaculate
Heart. In this request She has asked us to pray the
Rosary, do Penance and wear her Brown Scapular.
In the final Fatima vision on October 13, 1917, the
Virgin appeared clothed as Our Lady of Mount
Carmel holding the Brown Scapular in Her
hands… During this time no words were spoken.
Lucia, later said:
"Our Lady never looked so beautiful as when She
appeared in Her Carmelite Habit."
The very fact that She was holding the Brown
Scapular tells us that She wants us to take it and
use it! Lucia again said:
4) The Brown Scapular and the Immaculate Heart of Mary
"OUR LADY WANTS EVERYONE TO WEAR IT (THE BROWN SCAPULAR); IT IS THE SIGN OF
CONSECRATION TO HER IMMACULATE HEART.”
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary: At Fatima, Our Lady gave to the children the
message of prayer, asking them to add between the decades of the rosary the invocation: ''O
my Jesus, forgive us our sins; save us from the fires of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those who have most need of Thy Mercy." She asked for daily sacrifice. Then,
opening the hands which had always been folded in prayer, she revealed her Immaculate
Heart, a Heart surrounded with thorns, pierced and bleeding. Although Our Lady said nothing
about her Heart on this occasion, the children understood that her Heart was pierced and
bleeding because of sin and that Our Lady wanted reparation for sin.
Video Clip: "The 13th Day", Our Lady Reveals Her Immaculate Heart.
Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is clearly brought out in the prayer that Our Lady
gave to the children, a prayer which she asked them to say before making a sacrifice: "O my
Jesus, it is for love of Thee, in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate
Heart of Mary, and for the conversion of poor sinners." In today's world God wants us to make
reparation directly to the Heart of His Immaculate Mother. It sounds like an entirely new
devotion in the Church, yet history gives us innumerable examples of theologians and saints
who have preached and taught that the Blessed Virgin Mary has a part in every single step,
the whole plan of our salvation. As St. Bernard tells us so beautifully: "Such is the immutable
Will of Him who has Willed that we should have everything through Mary." We are children of
Mary, Christ has so Willed, knowing that "virtue passes easily from the heart of a mother to
the hearts of her children." (Curé of Ars).
“ONE DAY, THROUGH THE ROSARY AND THE SCAPULAR, SHE WILL SAVE THE WORLD." -
St. Dominic’s Prophecy of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Rosary and the Scapular, AD 1208.
As Prophesied by St. Dominic, in the 13th Century we had the Dominicans preaching the
Rosary, the Franciscans preaching Penance and the Carmelites preaching the Brown
Scapular. In 1917, Our Lady came to Fatima, Portugal asking us to pray the Rosary, do
Penance and to wear her Brown Scapular. Our Heavenly Mother has given us the tools we
need to fight the world, the flesh and the devil! All we have to do is use them!
5) Popes, The Brown Scapular and Fatima
In 1950 Pope Pius XII wrote these famous words concerning the scapular: "Take this
scapular which Our Lady has given as a sign of consecration to her Immaculate Heart. Go out
and convince the world that it must be dedicated to the Blessed Virgin if it will find peace. Go
out and through this scapular re-dedicate families especially to the Holy Mother of God, who
has shown her graces so abundantly through this scapular."
Again, Pope Pius XII writes: "May the Scapular be a sign to them (all who wear it) of their
consecration to the Most Pure Heart of the Immaculate Virgin, which in recent times We have
so strongly recommended." (Special Letter - Feb. 11, 1950).
In a letter to the Bishop of Fatima, issued on October 1, 1997, Pope John Paul II said: “On the
threshold of the third millennium, as we observe the signs of the times of this 20th century,
Fatima is certainly one of the greatest.” The Holy Father then points out that in this great sign
we are presented with an alternative: "War or Peace". He says one of the main reasons
Fatima is one of the greatest signs of these times is “because its message announces many
of the later events and conditions them on the response to its appeals.”
Also in that October 1997 letter, the pope said that She is anxious “to save mankind from self-
destruction,” And, he also said that, “in Our Lady of Fatima, God is now giving a refuge to the
world: the refuge of Her Immaculate Heart.”
"OUR LADY WANTS EVERYONE TO WEAR IT (THE BROWN SCAPULAR); IT IS THE SIGN OF
CONSECRATION TO HER IMMACULATE HEART.” – Lucia dos Santos (Child seer of Fatima)
“The Truth of Fatima does not depend upon you believing or not believing it. The Truth of
Fatima is a message from God certified by the Miracle of the Sun…” –Fr. Nicholas Gruner, S.
T.L., S.T.D. (Cand.) World-renowned ‘Fatima Priest
“The greatness of Fatima is that it gives the specific formula to save mankind from self-
destruction.” – Pope John Paul II, Oct. 13, 1977, Fatima Letter.
+++ LET US RESPOND TO THE URGENT PLEAS OF OUR MOTHER!
We who know the meaning of Our Lady’s Fatima Message must become other apostles,
loyal children of Mary, who will not be satisfied to keep this Message to ourselves, but will,
with the zeal of apostles, work day and night to make Mary known. Let us burn into our hearts
the words spoken to Lucia by little Jacinta before she died:

"Lucia, tell everybody that God
gives graces through the
Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Tell them to plead for peace from
the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for
God has entrusted the peace of
the world to her."
